FEASIBILITY STUDY In developing the feasibility study we work closely with client personnel to review and analyze existing operations for opportunities to increase integrity, reduce costs, and improve productivity. All forms of systems and technologies may be considered for implementation during this phase. The milestone which results from the completion of this phase is a documented and approved strategy for the detailed design and implementation steps. DETAILED DESIGN In this phase, the cost, schedule, and specifications of the implementation are further defined. Detailed requests for proposal (RFP's) are written and sent to appropriate vendors. Their responses are evaluated and pricing agreed upon. Knowing current competitive costs often helps us work with our clients to negotiate more advantageous pricing. The benefit to the client is usually a firmer and lower cost for the implementation. The milestone from the detailed design is a clear-cut plan and cost estimate for the system implementation.SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION Our responsibilities in this step can include the management of the hardware and software implementation by either Value Added Resellers (VARS) or the clients staff. We also have provided management of the contracted service providers, such as service bureaus providing scanning and indexing. We also furnish the expertise needed for implementation of any cultural changes necessary within the operation in order to accept the technology. This includes working with the management and staff to develop their procedures and documentation; performing or managing the training; plus assisting in cultural changes, up to and including restructuring the organization, if necessary. A recent example is a system which distributes computer generated legal documents to branch offices on demand; printing them on low cost laser printers, complete with seals and signatures. This system was completed in less than six months.
